John B's experience in urban planning has spanned over 50 years. John's work represents a wide range of planning expertise involving the creation of successful public/private partnerships, comprehensive planning, community and economic development projects, creation of and planning for industrial development/ industrial parks, central business district planning, redevelopment planning, recreational planning, market analysis, environmental planning, grant applications, and program administration.
Project types have included office and retail developments, industrial, and port projects, comprehensive planning assignments, enterprise zones, recreation and entertainment facilities, development ordinance programs, tax increment financing and urban redevelopment plans, and economic market analysis and financing programs. John's expert testimony has established landmark case law in favor of municipalities regarding zoning, annexation, and redevelopment issues.
He has worked on urban planning assignments in nearly every U.S. state and the Commonwealth of New Zealand and New South Whales, Australia. In addition, he served as an Adjunct Professor at Washington University in St. Louis for 16 years, where he taught Urban Planning classes.
